It all started when…

Angela, Marian, and Elizabeth sat around a kitchen table dreaming of a place that could provide compassionate women's care FOR women BY women. The Birth Center of Boulder is a fruition of that dream - our team of Certified Nurse Midwives, Registered Nurses, Lactation Consultants, and Administration provide personalized pregnancy and well women care. The Birth Center of Boulder trusts women's bodies, nurtures women and families health through open, honest communication and shared decision making, and honors the process and experience of yearly women's care and pregnancy. pregnancy care

Pregnancy + Birth…

Our pregnancy care is client centered, compassionate, connected care. Our Certified Nurse Midwives are focused on evidence based care and physiological birth. That translates to knowing the current research, keeping you and your baby safe, and letting your body do the work it needs to do.

The cadence of your appointments with us is much like every other practitioner - but what is different is the depth and length of each appointment. We spend more time (30 - 60 minutes) getting to know you and education you on your pregnancy and birth options. We teach pregnancy classes specifically curated for birth center clients.

Your labor and birth is one on one with a midwife and nurse in our modern, home like rooms. We provide giant soaking tubs for water labor and water birth. During the postpartum period, one of our registered nurses will guide you through those initial sacred hours and get you ready to transition to home. Our nurse will come to your home for a 24 - 36 hour check on mama, partner, and baby and then we will have you come to clinic for physical checks, mental health screenings, and education during your first 6 weeks postpartum.

Often the best way to know if our care is the right care for you is to come meet our team and visit the birth center. We offer orientations on the first Friday at noon and third Saturday at ten am - or call 303.443.3993 to schedule an alternate time.

We are contracted with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, and United Healthcare - and our promise is to help you understand your insurance benefits with the help of Larsen Billing. We work with each client to create a payment plan that is transparent - whether you are in network, out of network, or cash pay clients.

well woman care

Well woman care…

Our well care is client centered, compassionate, connected care. Our clients are any woman from first menses to menopause including fertility + preconception care, labs + blood work, birth control, and gynecological problem visits.

Our Certified Nurse Midwives spend an hour with you at your appointment discussing physical, mental and emotional health. The care we provide looks at the whole client and their surrounding experiences.

We are contracted with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, and United Healthcare.
